The DYS GAL’s Club girls won two (2) prizes at the Chili Bake Off held on February 21, 2010 at the Danbury Ice Arena. The first prize was for best presentation – “Hollywood Red Carpet” – and the second prize was for second place in preparing the best chili. DYS received $300.00 for the program for second place. The Chili Cook – Off is held annually and many non-profits and businesses compete for the best chili! The 16th Annual Benefit Basketball Tournament will take place on April 30, 2010 at Danbury High School in Memory of Bobby DiNardo, who was a supporter of DYS and its programs. This event raises monies for DYS programs that serve Greater Danbury Youth and Families. Please join us for a family friendly competition of basketball. Doors open at 4 P.M. and tip off is at 6 P.M. See you there! Cannondale has been helping “Wheels-for-Kids”, an activity of DYS, for years. This year they overhauled 135 bikes and delivered some 200 donated bikes for Santa’s Workshop. A sister company and Kiwanis Club of Danbury kindly donated 35 + helmets, so every bike was delivered with a helmet.
